    145145After some searching I found [https://bitbucket.org/nikratio/s3ql/issue/109/filesystem-seems-to-lock-up-s3ql-commands someone else with an issue like this], but their problem seems to relate to the use of NFS, the issues might relate to the [http://www.rath.org/s3ql-docs/durability.html S3 storage consistency window], perhaps this needs to be raised with ​Advania, also I wonder if setting the [http://www.rath.org/s3ql-docs/backends.html#cmdoption-s3c_backend-arg-tcp-timeout tcp-timeout] migth help since the error is ''send/recv timeout exceeded'', perhaps this needs raising as a [https://bitbucket.org/nikratio/s3ql/issues?status=new&status=open s3ql issue].

    147 Perhas the scripts being used, which were written for a previous version of `s3ql`, need improving, I have started reading the documenation to check, also there is a [https://bitbucket.org/nikratio/s3ql/src/809d457684c8b01b44c72af2c413f226fb43d8bf/contrib/s3ql_backup.sh?at=default backup script which has some features the one above doesn't].
